Newport Drummers is a community-based drum ensemble modeled on West African instruments and rhythms, and founded on the concept of this music being celebrated, through group ensemble practice and performance, with our community.

Martin Case is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and has served artists and communities around the globe.
Martin performs on saxophones, piano/keyboards, and West African percussion, and has been bestowed the title Master Drummer by Barbara Levy, Mamadou Diop, and griot Aboubacar Djéliké Kouyate.
